Mission Statement
Ho Rehabilitation Center was founded in 1983 with the vision of providing quality health care to patients of all ages who are in need of physical therapy. For more than 37 years, Ho Rehab Center has achieved a high level of patient care through the integration of clinical expertise, current research and continuing education. Ho Rehab Center is committed to the pursuit of excellence through the practice of art and science in physical therapy.
Our philosophy at Ho Rehab Center is to provide individualized and holistic treatment based on the unique needs and goals of each person. An appropriate treatment plan is based on a thorough neuromusculoskeletal evaluation. Our goal is to relieve pain and facilitate healing, improve functional status, provide patient education for prevention and promote wellness.
Dr. Der-How Huang, DPT, OCS, CSCS
received his Doctorate in Physical Therapy from USC in 2011, and acquired his Orthopedic Certified Specialist in 2014. He has a passion for improving the way people move and has worked with post op and preventative rehabilitation. He has worked with a wide range of patients and clients from pediatrics to the elite level of the NFL, MLB, NBA, USA Volleyball, USATF, and Karate. He has his certifications in Blood Flow Restriction Training as well as IASTM.
Dr. Larry Ho, MS, DPT, OCS
founded Ho Rehab Center, Inc., in 1983. He graduated from National Taiwan University in 1972 with a B.S. in Physical Therapy. In 1974, he obtained his M.S. from the Medical College of Virginia and subsequently acquired his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from USC in 1997. Dr. Ho has published numerous research articles in various scientific journals, translated the Manual Therapy book by Professor Freddy Kaltenborn into Chinese and for the past 20 years, has taught at USC in the Department of Biokinesiology and Physical Therapy as Adjunct Associate Professor. Dr. Ho travels extensively to China and Taiwan conducting lectures and workshops.
Dr. Liya Yin, DPT, OCS
received her Master of Science in Biokinesiology (2014) and Doctorate of Physical Therapy (2017) from University of Southern California. From research experience in Neuroplasticity laboratory at USC and clinical experience in various clinical settings, she gained broad interests in movement deficits in different patient populations and applying neuroplasticity and motor learning theory into her treatment.
Dr. Chia-En Wu, DPT
received her Doctorate in Physical therapy from Chapman University in 2021. She was born and raised in Taiwan, where she received a B.S. in Medical Laboratory Science and Biotechnology in 2015. She played collegiate basketball and has a passion for sports and orthopedic injuries. She enjoys spending time with close friends, going to the beach, weight lifting and traveling
Kimi Kilantang, PTA
received her PTA license from Concorde College in 2021. She was born and raised in Hawaii where she received a B.S. in Fashion Merchandising from the University of Hawaii. She later moved to California where she worked as a hair stylist for 12 years. Always having had an interest in rehabilitation and health care, she made a career change to physical therapy in 2020. In her free time she enjoys playing volleyball, traveling, hiking and discovering new places to eat.
Marcus Collins, PTA
received his PTA license from Concorde College in 2022, where he graduated at the top of his class. He received his bachelor's degree in Kinesiology with an emphasis on Exercise Science from CSUN in 2016. In his free time, he enjoys working out, playing basketball, fishing and watching movies.
Ho Rehab Center, Inc, was established in 1983 in Tarzana, CA, serving the outpatient physical therapy and rehabilitation needs of the San Fernando Valley. We have 8 private treatment rooms with a fully equipped gym. We specialize in sports, orthopedic and neurological movement disorders of the spine and extremities, serving both the pediatric and adult populations.
Ho Rehab Center is equipped with state-of-the-art rehabilitation equipment to not only facilitate, but exceed our patients' and clients' expectations and goals for physical therapy and fitness. We have an eclectic array of equipment to serve the diverse needs and capabilities of our patients and clients. Our friendly ambiance and humorous staff will help you laugh your way to recovery!
